Hachiokai-gosoku ryu karate is one of 17 working versions and styles in territory of Russia and is brought in to uniform All-Russia sports classification 2001 - 2005.
 

 Russian Karate Association (RKA)"Hachi-O-Kai" originated from club "Universal" of Tomsk and was established by Yuri Negodin in 1992. Registration number: 1011; registered 07.10.92. The main purpose of RKA is to develop and popularize traditional Japanese karate-do in Russia. 

Today, resting upon the solid base of Shotokan style the work with arms (Kobudo), Jyu Waza (Gosoku Ryu karate style) is practiced in the "Hachi-O-Kai" school.
The Association regularly holds:
-summer trainings and health camps;
- belt certifications, where a quite difficult examination program on Shotokan style (9 kyu - 3 dan) is first used in Russia 
- "Hachi-O-Kai" Karate Championships (since 1993); team and personal championships within different age divisions, without regard to weight (analogously to the rules of Japanese Karate Association):
Kata (Shotokan), (Kobudo)
Kumite Shobu Ippon/Nipon (head and torso full-contact)
